Drive into the Bernese Oberland to Interlaken, nestled between Lakes Thun and Brienz beneath the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. A cable car ascent and a scenic railway journey through the Alps offer an elevated view of Switzerland's mountain heartland.
Switzerland — Alpine Scenery & Lauterbrunnen
A further day in the Swiss Alps with hiking through mountain landscapes, Lauterbrunnen Valley (72 waterfalls from 300-metre cliffs), and the open alpine meadows of the Bernese Oberland. A free afternoon in Interlaken or Grindelwald.
Italy — Milan & Venice
Drive south through the Alps into Italy. Milan is explored on foot — the Gothic Duomo di Milano and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The coach continues to Venice: St. Mark's Square, the Grand Canal, and a boat tour of the Venetian waterways.
