Autumn in Europe — France & Switzerland
Your Journey
Paris — Arrival
Arrival in Paris with a private transfer to your hotel.
Paris — Eiffel Tower, Montmartre & Notre-Dame
A full day of Paris sightseeing: the Eiffel Tower and the Seine riverfront, Arc de Triomphe, a walk along Champs-Élysées, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Sacré-Cœur Basilica at the top of Montmartre, the artists' quarter lanes of the butte, and the Louvre Museum exterior.
Paris — Colmar
Drive east from Paris to Colmar in Alsace — one of France's most extraordinary medieval towns: half-timbered houses, flower-lined canals, and the intimate streets of 'Little Venice'. The old town centre has been continuously inhabited since the 9th century.
Switzerland — Bern & Zurich or Lucerne
Cross into Switzerland. Drive via Bern — the arcaded federal capital on a peninsula of the Aare River, with its 6 km of covered walkways, the Zytglogge clock tower, and the Rosengarten viewpoint — to either Zurich or Lucerne for the overnight.
Interlaken & Grindelwald
Drive into the Bernese Oberland to Interlaken, positioned between Lakes Thun and Brienz at the foot of the highest Alps. A transfer to Grindelwald at the base of the Eiger's North Face offers direct views of the famous rock wall.
Lauterbrunnen Valley & Rhine Falls
Lauterbrunnen Valley — 72 waterfalls dropping from 300-metre limestone cliffs, including the Staubbach Falls above the village — is one of Switzerland's most dramatic landscapes. Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen follows: the most powerful waterfall in Europe, with a boat ride to the central basalt outcrop.
Switzerland — Free Day
A free day for optional Alpine experiences: a visit to the Lindt Home of Chocolate Museum (optional), an ascent to Jungfraujoch — Top of Europe (3,454 m, optional), or a paragliding flight over the Alpine peaks (optional). Alternatively, a relaxed day exploring the surrounding landscape.
Departure
Private transfer to the departure airport.
