We visit the capital of Montenegro: the city lies 44 meters above sea level on the fertile plain north of Lake Skadar. We admire the Church of St. George and cross the Millennium Bridge to reach the Cathedral of the Resurrection, in Stara Varos, the old town, surrounded by a landscape of colorful houses and old vegetable gardens. We depart for Budva. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. DAY 2: BUDVA – KOTOR – HERCEG NOVI – BUDVA After breakfast, depart for the famous Bay of Kotor, a deep Mediterranean fjord that stretches 30 km from the coast. Arrival in the old town of Kotor, which preserves a beautiful historic center with more than 30 churches from different eras. Continue to Risan, the ancient Greek colony of Rizhon that was the main center of the Boka Kotorska Bay. Lunch at a restaurant with a typical seafood menu. In the afternoon, transfer to Hergec-Novi to visit this town nestled among olive groves, citrus trees, and terraced gardens, birthplace of St. Leopold Mandic, where the house where he was born (exterior) and the church where he was baptized are still visible. Return to Budva: dinner and overnight stay at a hotel. DAY 3: BUDVA – CETINJE – PODGORIZZA – SHKODAR (MNT / Albania) Breakfast at the hotel. We begin the day with a visit to Budva, an enchanting fortified town. Then we depart for Cetinje, the ancient capital of Montenegro: visit Malo Guvno Square and, most importantly, the Orthodox monastery founded in 1484. We then visit the birthplace of the last Italian queen, Queen Elena. Lunch in a restaurant during the visits. We then reach Albania. We arrive in Shkodër and settle into the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. We'll visit the Rozafa Fortress, which offers a view of the lead mosque with 18 domes. At the end of the visit, we'll depart for Kruja. Lunch will be served in a characteristic restaurant with a traditional menu. In the afternoon, we'll visit this town, perched on a rocky peak and the ancient capital of Skanderbeg's kingdom.
